Big Bag Fillingstation

The Big-Bag Filling Station is used to fill bulk materials into large bags called Big-Bags. It generally consists of a screw feeder (or other dosing device) and a weighing platform, supplemented by a hanging frame to which the bag is attached by means of loops. To fill Big-Bags at different heights, filling stations with height-adjustable frames are used. The height can be adjusted manually with a hand winch. Stations are available in a variety of designs, from simple to fully automated.

The most common design of big bag filling station is a bridge structure with a weighing platform, e.g. 1500 x 2000 mm, on which a frame structure is installed to secure the big bag. The big bag and the filling spout are manually attached and detached. At the inlet of the filling spout is usually installed a dosing flap, selected according to the type and characteristics of the material to be filled. The filling spout is also equipped with an exhaust adapter for venting during filling or for air removal. The scale is equipped with its own evaluation unit.

The Big-Bag Emptying Station is designed for emptying bulk materials from big bags. It consists of a structure for hanging the big bag by means of a hoist, a platform with a collecting tray and an intermediate container with a removable grid. A suitable conveyor can be connected to the emptying station to transport the material for further processing. The entire system can be controlled either manually or automatically using sensors and an integrated control cabinet.

Filling spouts are used for dust-free filling of bulk materials into transport containers such as trucks, railcars, containers or silos. They are height-adjustable and, depending on the type, suitable for filling standard materials as well as materials subject to ATEX regulations.
